What age is Seward Farms Maze appropriate for?
One of the great things about Seward Farms Maze is the fact that it offers something that everyone can enjoy. From babies, all the way up to grandma and grandpa, our goal is to make sure everyone in your group leaves with memories they will cherish!
Are discounts combinable?
No. One coupon per person, please!
Where can I find coupons?

Do I have to pay admission if I don’t want to walk through the maze?
Yes, there is a grounds admission whether you want to participate or not.
Is smoking allowed?
No. Smoking is only permitted in our parking lot area. If you are seen smoking, within the maze grounds, we will assume you are on fire and take appropriate action!
Do you serve alcoholic beverages?
NO! Alcohol is not allowed on property, so please do not bring any.
Can I bring my own food?
No. Unless you have reserved the fire pits or birthday huts. Field trips need to bring their lunches for their picnic.
Is there food sold here?
Yes. We have the Wagon Wheel Café open on Saturdays. If offers a variety of food for lunch and dinner. Look for our Saturday specials during your visit on the weekends.
Are pets allowed on the grounds?
We do not allow pets on the grounds. We only allow service dogs, that are specifically trained as a guide, leader listener, or to provide any other assistance necessary due to health reasons; assist a blind, hearing-impaired, or mobility impaired person in day-to-day activities. Emotional support animals do not meet the requirements & are not permitted on the grounds.
Are you closed if it has rained?
Sometimes if there is a heavy down pour, we will close due to the muddy conditions. Please keep an eye out on our Facebook page for updates on operating hours due to weather conditions.
Can we be thrown out for any reason?
Yes…Everyone who visits Seward Farms for any event is here to have fun. Just don’t cross the line…You know where it is. We do not allow foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior, weapons of any kind, alcohol, etc.
We have a list of rules, just like anyone else, that must be adhered to for your own safety. Violation of these rules will usually bring a warning but you could be asked to leave without a refund.

Groups & Reservations:
Are reservations required for everyone?
No. Reservations are required for school field trips, groups of 50+, birthday parties and fire pits. These reservations can be made on our website, or by calling the office.
Are reservations required for school field trips?
Yes, all school field trips must be reserved in advance. Please visit the school field trip section of our website.
Are reservations required for boy/girl scout groups?
No. Visit the admissions page of website for scouting prices.
How do you get the group discount rate?
Groups of 50+ qualify for the group discount rate. A reservation is required to receive this discount.
Field of Fright
Are you open Halloween night?
No, unless Halloween occurs on one of our regularly scheduled nights of operation. Please visit the calendar or the Fall Fun events page for more dates & times.
Are the monsters/actors allowed to touch you?
The creatures inside the Field of Fright have been forbidden to touch you. However, they do get very close. Occasionally you may brush up against them. You may also come into contact with some of the sets. But you will never be intentionally touched. In addition, we also ask that our guest do not touch our creatures.
Can we take flash photos of your haunted scenes/actors?
No, photography of any sort is permitted at Seward Farms Field of Fright. The paths will be dark in areas and people’s eyes (especially the monsters) adjust to the low light. When you flash your camera, you’re not only ruining the other customer’s experience but you’re hurting the monsters’ eyes.
How scary is the Field of Fright?
Field of Fright is most appropriate for older children and adults. But since each child is different, we leave it up to you, as the parent, to decide if your child would enjoy the haunted experience. Our actors are expected to have a high thrill of spook. It’s a haunting good time!! We do often suggest the Haunted Hay Ride, if you are unsure of how your child will handle the Field of Fright.
How long is the wait in line for Field of Fright?
Wait times can sometimes exceed your expectancy. It is suggested to come early to avoid the longer lines!
Is there security at Field of Fright?
Yes, security is present nightly.
Corn Maze:
At what time of the day do you close the maze?
During our all-day pass admission, the farm, activities and maze closes as 6pm.
Can I visit the maze on a field trip day from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.?
No, you cannot visit during a field trip day. Only school groups with reservations are allowed during the week.
How long does it take to walk the maze?
The average time is 30 to 40 minutes for Saturday visitors and 15 minutes for school field trips. We have different mazes for Saturday visitors and field trip visitors.
Will I get lost?
We hope so! That’s part of the fun! While everyone gets lost to different degrees, we have designed the maze to be an interactive activity that makes a trip inside the maze more than just a haphazard stroll. At the beginning of your visit you have the option of taking a “passport”. The ten questions on the passport will help you make your way through the maze. We also offer a QR code to scan, that can aid you through the maze!!
How do you make the maze?
It takes lots of practice and patience! Our particular method of designing the maze is a trade secret, but we can tell you that we plant the whole field in late July and then take out the design when the plants are very short. The design is created on a computer and then transferred into the maze acreage.
How big is the maze?
The maze itself is 7 acres. It is divided into two mazes, one for Saturday visitors and one for field trips.
Can I eat or pick the corn?
You could, but it would not taste very good. The variety of corn that we grow is field corn for cattle. Although picking the cob is very intriguing, we ask that you do not pick any corn from our maze. Our cattle will also greatly appreciate you leaving it for them!
Is the maze haunted?
No. The focus for our fall regular maze is fun for the whole family. We offer a haunted maze during the last two weeks of October. Please see our “Fall Fun” events tab & find the Field of Fright section for more information on it.
