Information Needed for Field Trips

Please PRINT for your convenience:

Before Coming On Your Field Trip

Please divide your class into groups of 6-8 students with at least one adult chaperone before arriving.  All of your activities will be done as a class except you will enter the maze in these smaller groups and then gather back up once you complete the maze.  Please make all of your parents aware that we do not accept debit cards, credit cards or personal checks.

When You Arrive for Your Field Trip

We will meet you in the parking lot to pick up your sack lunches & coolers and take them to your designated picnic area.  At this time please have the students unload and walk to the entrance of the building.  We ask that you do not stand in the parking lot once the students have unloaded because there will be other vehicles arriving.  Once the children are safely out of the parking lot and at the building the teachers may walk into the gift shop to check in.  If you are interested in a bucket of feed for your class to share please tell the clerk when you check in.

During Your Field Trip

The field trip will take about 3 hours to complete from start to finish.  It will consist of a 20 minute farming presentation inside our maze building, one corn field maze ticket, one hay ride ticket, one cow train ticket, one corn cannon ticket (good for 2 shots), a visit to our farm animal alley and a picnic area for lunch time.  The students can also enjoy the playground area (if time allows).  It usually takes about 30 minutes to walk through the maze once you begin.  This is where the smaller groups you made before arriving will come into effect.  One chaperone per group will receive a corny passport to read to the students.  The passport will help them through the maze.

Toward the End of Your Field Trip

We kindly ask that you try and complete the maze and all three of your activities before having your picnic lunch.  After all schools have completed their activities we will begin the pig races around noon.  If you are having lunch when the first race begins do not rush your students we usually do 2-3 races and space them about 15 minutes apart.  The students are welcomed to visit the gift shop before leaving.

Cozy up to a private fire pit, book an educational field trip, or invite your business out for a day in the corn maze.
